"Memories Fade" is a video uploaded to the Grocerybag YouTube channel on July 2nd, 2009.[1]
Background[]
On July 2nd, 2009, Titanic Sinclair made a post on a filmmaking community, describing "Memories Fade" as promotional material for a film that would be released through episodes online for free.[2] "A Film. a Record" was uploaded on June 23rd of the same year. The music video for "The Singularity Is Near" was additionally uploaded on July 10th, 2009, titled "Technology Is a Dead Bird Promo" before being renamed,[3][4] meaning it was also likely intended as promotion of this film.
"A Film. a Record" and "Memories Fade" have yet to resurface online after being taken down in October 2009,[3][5] however, a short clip of the latter was found in a fan-made Grocerybag supercut online. The supercut was deleted from YouTube afterwards.
