"Doctor" is an unreleased song by Mars Argo. It was likely intended for use on their canceled second studio album.
Background[]
An instrumental snippet of the song was first uploaded to Titanic Sinclair's Vine account on December 6th, 2013, with the description being "Giving my new song a car listen".[1] The track was later performed live at Stephen F's Bar on March 11th, 2014,[2] and again at Speakeasy four days later.[3] Following this, Mars Argo posted lyrics of "Doctor" to her Tumblr account on April 2nd, 2014.[4] A behind-the-scenes video taken on the set of "Blu-Ray Player" showing Sinclair listening to the song, was posted to his Instagram account on May 20th, 2014.[5]
On April 1st, 2018, two new snippets of the instrumental version were leaked to YouTube, after being sent to a fan by Sinclair in January 2017. When sending the clips, Sinclair additionally confirmed the existence of studio-recorded vocals.[6]
In July 2019, when asked whether she would release previous demos such as "Doctor" and "Save Me", Argo denied and responded with "all new".[7]
The full instrumental of "Doctor" was leaked on May 9th, 2022.[8] Prior to this, a snippet of a recording session featuring Argo's vocals with the instrumental playing faintly in the background, was leaked on May 4th, 2020.[9]
Lyrics[]
Live version[]
Doctor, don't you know my symptoms?
I'm a sick girl with a heartbreak syndrome
Doctor, I can be your cancer
I'm a sick girl and I need an answer
Love, in the morning I'll be your shadow
Love you till the day I die
Love, in the morning I'll be your shadow
Love you till the day I die
Doctor, I can make you want me
I'm a sick girl and I need you on me
Doctor, I can make you have me
I'm a sick girl and I know you want me
Doctor, I can make you want me
I'm a sick girl and I need you on me
Doctor, I can be your cancer
I'm a sick girl and I need an answer
