"Angel" is an unreleased song by Mars Argo. It was likely intended for use on their canceled second studio album.
Background[]
Mars Argo posted a line from the song to her Facebook page on January 21st, 2013.[1] Its instrumental was later used in the Computer Show episode, "Guns Should Be Illegal", which was released on February 11th, 2013.[2] Argo further posted a full verse of the track to Tumblr on November 19th, 2013.[3]
An audio rehearsal of the song, presumably recorded in early 2013, was leaked on May 29th, 2018, which featured an early live concept demo with unfinished lyrics.
Lyrics[]
Sometimes I feel like I will live forever
But here I am all alone again
I'll often say that I can be your savior
And you can pray for my love again
I'll never be your angel
Even though I want to be
Sometimes I feel like I could be your savior
I'll never be your angel
Even though I want to be
Even though I want to be
I'll never be your angel (Gel, gel, gel)
Even though I want to be
Even though I want to be
Sometimes I feel like I could be your savior
And you can pray for my love again
Sometimes I feel like I could be better than that
And that I'll be on my own again
I'll never be your angel (Gel, gel, gel)
Even though I want to be
Even though I want to be
I'll never be your angel (Gel, gel, gel)
Even though I want to be
I'll never be your angel
Even though I want to be
Even though I want to be
I'll never be your angel (Gel, gel, gel)
Even though I want to be
Sometimes I feel like I could be your savior
